Subsea Excellence/Quality Assurance Specialist

Equipment Scope

  • Engineering Equipment Manufacturing and Mobilization

  • Subsea Equipment + OCTG (API 17 Series) / OCTG (API 5CT)

Role Overview

  • Serve as Customer Representative while maintaining professionalism to bridge the gap between service company/vendor and operator with job planning, preparation, performance, and improvement.

  • Be able to interpret customer equipment specifications, industry specs (API, ASME, NACE, etc.) quality plans, ITPs, and vendor procedures.

  • Audit vendors for compliance to customer and industry specifications.

  • Attend and steward pre-production meetings with the client to ensure all adequate QA controls are in place, validated, and agreed upon.

  • Witness engineering equipment manufacturing, assembly, and testing to ensure compliance to vendor and customer specifications

  • Verify inspection, measurement, and testing equipment are calibrated and meet all minimum job scope requirements.

  • Be able to create in depth, concise, and clear reports that adequately reflect the acceptance or rejection of equipment mobilization processes and provide the client with insight to the equipment preparation and operation.

  • Louisiana (local to Louisiana required).

Required Skills / Background

  • 1 industry reference + proven track record of performance

  • 10+ years of upstream oil and gas vendor surveillance in engineered equipment (subsea, well testing, completions, and interventions equipment).

  • Level II NDE certifications (MT, UT, PT, RT)

  • Or 5+ years of experience + BS in Engineering (preferred).

  • Expert knowledge of Subsea, Well Testing, Completions, and Intervention equipment manufacturing and mobilizations (inspection, assembly, and testing)

  • Familiar with API 6A, 16A & API 17 series, DS-1, Q1, Q2, NACE, and ASME + all relevant specifications
